As reported, Splendour in the Grass 2010 will run for an extra day this year, from Friday 30th July to Sunday 1st August. The festival site has been moved from it's coastal NSW perch in Byron Bay, and shifted to the inland fields of 'Woodfordia', in Woodford, QLD.

There are two types of tickets going on sale at 9am EST on Thursday May 6.

From the Splendour site:

Event-camping ticket

The capacity at Woodfordia is 30,000, with enough room on site for 20,000 campers. As a result, there will be a combined event and camping ticket for the first time. The event-camping combo ticket will provide access to the site from noon on Wednesday 28th July to Monday 2nd August. With no other accommodation options in the surrounding area, this will be the best place to stay during the event.

Event-only ticket

Those who don’t intend camping with us can purchase an event-only ticket that will provide entry to the festival from Friday 30th July to Sunday 1st August. However, we would strongly recommend that you do your research before choosing this option. Unless you’re lucky enough to live nearby or can stay with somebody who does, then you will need to be prepared to travel quite a distance each day from other centres of accommodation. There are no campgrounds or caravan parks in Woodford, and sleeping in vehicles in local streets and roadsides is prohibited.

Carbon Offset Option Both of the above tickets will also be available as carbon offset versions for an additional outlay of $3 (inc gst). Once again you will be able top offset your travel emissions to and from the festival.

TICKET PRICES

Event-only tickets: $350 (inc gst) + $10.20 booking fees (inc gst) = $360.20 online or $362.20 for phone bookings (additional $2 fee).

Event/camping tickets: $450 (inc gst) + $11.80 booking fees (inc gst) = $461.80 online or $463.80 for phone bookings (additional $2 fee).

NB: Phone bookings incur an additional $2 fee.
