Australia’s art community has gained prominence over the last decade, being described by many as an international leader in street art and culture.

A reputation gained through the supporting network of artists sharing ideas and motivation while contributing to the endless calendar of projects and exhibitions, developing a complex and distinct local dialect of art. No Comply is proud to be a part of this language, it is an annual exhibition which started as a small group show and which has, over time along with the community that it has set out to promote, developed far beyond anyone’s initial expectations.

No Comply has become an unprecedented world-class group exhibition featuring legends and emerging leaders from around the world. Multimedia, graphic novels, skateboarding, graffiti, street art, tattoos, animation and computer games are now more than ever respected apects of contemporary art. By using skateboards as the canvas, No Comply also aims to help people realize the variety of forms that contemporary art has taken on.

With 180 individual pieces of art by 80 artists representing a huge variety of disciplines and fi elds from around the world, No Comply 2008 is a unique snapshot of an important moment in time for the international art community with a focus on Australia’s growing global role.

The collection will be on display for 3 weeks, 10am until 7pm, Tuesdays to Sunday, until the 23rd of November. All artwork will be available for purchase by collectors during the showing. Launch party November 7, 7pm-10pm.
