Drewfunk is gonna add his own free-floating stamp on Fed Square with some wet paint with a legal graffiti-style installation at Transport.

Fusing Asian influence with a local fresh street style Drewfunk has recently been featured in the French produced documentary ‘Melbourne Ink’ and has contributed to major legal projects.

For someone whose pedigree is multi-media and graffiti, Drew's style is surprisingly organic and illustrative.  His dedication to hand crafted art is a reaction to working as a multi-media designer in Malaysia.

Having Oolong tea with Drew at his space at Blender Studios, he talked about his love for paint, op-shopping, being fueled by good Nyonya food and the influence of new school artists like Sam Flores and David Choe as well as unexpected historical figures like Alphonse Mucha.

His studio is a mini playground of spraycans, toys, stencils and colour - a lovely and cozy reflection of a guy who loves what he does.
