Oh dear. I’m not really sure where to start. There doesn’t seem much more to say than that Erin Wasson, successful model turned stylist and muse to design wunderkind Alexander Wang, is a complete tit.
In a recent video for
Nylon TV, Wasson shocked viewers when commenting on her style influences. In her post nineties, surfer chick drawl she mindlessly stated that, “the people with the best style for me are the people that are the poorest. Like, when I go down to Venice beach and I see the homeless, like, I'm like, 'Oh my God, they're pulling out, like, crazy looks and they, like, pulled shit out of like garbage cans.'"
I’m often the first to defend non-politically correct comments (being a heinous offender myself), but there’s a fine line between not taking one’s self too seriously and just being outrageously stupid and offensive. Wasson unfortunately didn’t see this line coming, made a bold dash right past it, and ended up somewhere so far over the horizon the line completely disappeared behind her.
