See Norman Seeff's gorgeous photos of cultural icons

Norman Seeff is a South African photographer, famous for his glossily candid photos of musicians and other cultural icons that were taken from the late 60s onwards after his move to New York. Seeff’s photos are intimate and lush, but have a real resounding clarity to them, so that you can see each shimmering strand of Joni Mitchell’s blonde locks with that elusive 70s lustre that us unlucky Gen-Y-ers never got the chance to see. Seeff is also into keeping art affordable, so if you're interested in ordering a print or two, check out his Art for All website. You can suss out some of Seeff’s images via the gallery above.
