Brain Children are a collaborative project between Young and drummer/beatmaker about town Max Crumbs. Yep, the same
Crumbs responsible for producing one of last years best tracks in Catcall's '
August'. Quite a pairing. Especially as seen above in their John Waters-esque,
Warwick Baker approved promo image.
As
whothehell.net succinctly puts it this first track 'Guts' sounds A LOT like Sterolab. In fact the idle-minded might just assume it was. The duo are releasing the song on a six track 12" and will apparently soon begin playing shows. Which, if their musical relationships are anything to go by, may well see the duo on a bill sandwhiched between My Disco and Hoops. SYNERGY.
Post their Big Day Out appearance Eddy Current only have one show on the calendar at the moment. They appear at the Royal Melbourne Zoo's "Roar Sounds" showcase on
February 19th alongside Tame Impala.
