Florence and her Machine are back with a couple of lung-belters, from her forthcoming and hugely anticipated follow up to her chart-topping 2009 debut Lungs.

Florence Welch's second record will be called Ceremonials, and last week we got a taste of 'What The Water Gave Me'. Which, while it has its moments, suggested that Florence's ever-teetering grasp on the balance between drama and melodrama was prhaps dipping even further into Twilight territory. (Also suggested by the ponderous 5:33 running time.)

Now comes 'Shake It Out', a tune that dials the jazz hands back some to reveal a much stronger arrangement and melody, much as it does Florence Welch's evident love of the Arcade Fire's first album.
