The new vid for 'Treat Me Like Your Mother', possibly the best song from The Dead Weather's debut Horehound has Jack White and Alison Mosshart blasting each other.

Some people get turned on by outrageous on-screen violence. Jet, for example. Not I. But throw in Jack White and Alison Mosshart, black leather, a housing estate and wondering what the fuck's going on and I'm sitting up and taking notice. You win again, internet.

The clip from The Dead Weather's debut Horehound was directed by Jonathon Glazer, he of Sexy Beast notoriety as well as the gorgeous clips for Radiohead's 'Street Spirit' and 'Karma Police', Nick Cave's 'Into My Arms' and the eternally watch-worthy 'Rabbit In Your Headlights' by UNKLE. And without giving too much away, the beams of sunlight at the end are a lovely touch.

Here's a still from the clip:

Man, Alison Mosshart is BUFF. Oh...wait no. That's just a scene from one of the greatest movies of all time, Weird Al Yankovic's The Vidiot From UHF, starring Weird Al and a young Michael Richards. Which if you haven't seen, we can't be friends. (Though watching the clip below would be a good start.)

Wow. Weird Al as inspiration for Jack White. Does his incalculable artistic influence know no bounds? Undeniable proof:
