There's a colonial era theme that runs through a lot of Sydney band Charge Group's lyrics. Redcoats, vistas, first mates. So it makes sense that in their gorgeous new video they actually inhabit the times.

Or are on the run from them, as it were. Their new vid for 'Lullaby for the Apocalypse' sees singer Matt Blackman with child in tow, on the lam through a barren, dilapidated Australian countryside. In hot pursuit are three cops, tracking the duo down in a beautiful, slowly unfolding narrative where hilarity does very much not ensue.

It's one of the more cinematic visions in recent music video action, wonderfully shot by the Trainwreck 20/20 team. Who are responsible for the Super 8 Diaries DVD and events you'll remember. The band meanwhile have just wrapped up a national tour launching their debut album Escaping Mankind, well as a tour with Icelandic songstress Emiliana Torrini. Who reportedly gushed on stage that she loved them and were one of her favourite bands. Nice work if you can get it.
