Never did a Dutch filmstrip about heat transfer printing look and sound so damn good.

Benoît Pioulard, the performing moniker for Thomas Meluch, returns with his second album, Temper, in about a month. Right now, a preview comes in this well-adorned form:


Continuing the layered and weaved style of his stunning debut, Precis, the track bleeds colours and sways in the breeze. Or as Philip Sherburne once described his music: it's "like a scarf knit from a motley collection of mismatched yarn."

A touch less melancholic and distant than most of Precis, his forthcoming record may very well be the sound of riding around Portland on a bike. What a dreamboat.
