We just returned from the Golden Plains Festival, and friends we are in supremely satisfied - if fragile - condition.

Highlights? Missing the storm that devastated Melbourne. Lou Barlow playing a gorgeous solo set by the massage tent, the backdrop a sweeping, rural vista. Pavement. Staying dry. Vincent from Midnight Juggernauts' boat-over-crowd trip. Nashville Pussy. Jeffrey Lewis. Dirty Projectors and their ridiculous harmonies. Monotonix's crowd antics.

Lowlights: The heavy rain that beat us back for Dinosaur Jr. DJ Ransom's missed opportunity. Monotonix's music. Friend's spilling beer in your tent. Coffee lines. Acoustic singalongs. 'Bout it.

Stay tuned for our big 'ol review. For now, feast on the images from the 2010 Golden Plains festival, held in sunny, wet, steamy, chilly, stormy, sunny, wet, etc etc, Meredith, Victoria.

Oh... I had free tickets to Monotonix in Sydney last weekend... hmm. Perhaps I should have given them to someone. Looks good... Bugger.
