Yeah Yeah Yeahs Play Two New Songs
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have a new album on the way. The release will be the first for the band since It’s Blitz! in 2009. Since then, Karen O has kept herself busy creating, among other things, the soundtrack to Spike Jonze’s dreamscape of a flick, Where the Wild Things Are, and the “psycho opera” Stop the Virgens, which toured as part of Vivid Live festival last year.
Although an inarguably talented solo artist, we’re certainly stoked to Karen O back in action with the rest of the band: the videos below certainly capture the essence of what it’s like to see this very magnetic outfit inhabit and enliven a stage. The footage was taken last Friday night at a performance in Pomona, California. Presumably, both new songs will make an appearance on the new album, due out in autumn.
