Beck's record club rolls on with an (indie) all-star interpretation of INXS' classic album 'Kick' - this week: 'Devil Inside'.

As mentioned, Beck has been getting together a bunch of friends together to lay down fairly off-the-cuff versions of classic albums. We've had Skip Spence and the Velvet Underground, but this time around the subject is particularly fond to hearts our side of the globe - INXS' Kick.

Beck has roped in members of Liars, St.Vincent and Os Mutantes for the task. So far we've had the gurning, Liars-led 'Guns in the Sky' and the St.Vincent-infused, ethereal take on 'New Sensation'. This week's might be the best yet. 'Devil Inside' has Beck on main vocals for the first time; the collective shifting the original's time-signature to make it a funkier, more dynamic take. Loose as all hell sure, but the first to approach being as interesting as the original.
