The Drones to release live DVD, going on tour

The Drones have been quiet of late. Frontman Gareth Liddiard still playing tunes from his celebrated solo debut might have something to do with it, as well as drummer Mike Noga recently releasing his own solo album, The Balladeer Hunter.

But that seems set to change in September, with the release of the bands new DVD, A Thousand Mistakes. Boasting an entire live set recorded at the East Brunswick Club in Melbourne, A Thousand Mistakes also features an "intimate" (aka acoustic) set purpose-recorded in a warehouse in Fairfield. There will also be a bonus disc featuring "rare live footage filmed 2005-2010, in Germany, France and Australia". All up, A Thousand Mistakes features over four and a half hours of footage. What's more, the thing will come with a limited ed. vinyl of the film's audio, via Bang Records! Classy.

And then, with the public primed on thirty-nine tracks of raw Drones footage, they're gonna tour through October. See below for film tracklist.
