Taylor Swift leads a busy, busy life. One day she’s putting every Australian celebrity to fashion shame, the next she antagonises Eminen’s daughter (not-so-little Hailie Mathers not-so-kindly asked her back away from her would-be man, One Direction’s Harry Styles via twitter yesterday) all while pumping out those shamefully catchy, wildly lovelorn lyrics. In T-Swiz’s latest adventure, she beatboxed alongside old mate LL Cool J in between announcing the 55th Grammy Nominations, and we’re not going to lie – it was embarrassing. Cue the This-Would’ve-Been-A-Perfect-Time-For-Kanye-To-Interrupt jokes:

Anyway, if you made it through the banter and all-round aural assault, we’d like to bring you the 2013 Grammy nominees, and just quietly gush over another impeccable style choice by the Troubled songstress.

For the upcoming ceremony, a thrilling six-way tie is being held by Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Mumford & Sons, fun., and the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach – who scored five shout outs as a member of the Black Keys and one in the producer of the year category – who were each nominated six times (there is definitely numerological significance to that). fun. is expected to clean out for their Janelle Monae canticle We Are Young, while the ever-unruffled Frank Ocean is also expected to gain ample acknowledgment—in which category nominated, we are not yet certain—for his debut Channel ORANGE. Of the extensive 81 categories listed, YouTube’s ex-darling, Justin Bieber, was snubbed, with manager Scooter Braun taking his discontent to twitter expressing that he thinks the Recording Academy “blew it”. Of-similar-appeal artists, Carly Rae Jepsen and One Direction, made the Grammy race, and our very own Gotye and Kimbra are still killing it with their inimitable Somebody That I Used To Know.
