Splendour in the Grass tickets went on sale at 9am this morning, with users reporting problems with ticketing site Moshtix.
As in previous years, thousands of punters have flooded the Moshtix website with ticket requests, only to receive errors. One forum member on the Splendour in the Grass sanctioned Fasterlouder wrote:
i joined this site just because i hate moshtik that much! it's booted me out about 70 times!
Another forum member has revealed that News Ltd., of which Moshtix is a division, has sent out an internal email claiming that calls in Sydney are being affected due to the high volume of punters calling in.
At 11am today a Moshtix representative spoke to Triple J, confirming that the site was having problems, but that tickets are still available and punters should keep trying.
