Our TheVine interviewee and art gallery poster boys Pivot have some exciting, if slightly terrifying news to announce.

They're returning to Australia from their current post in the UK to play alongside Sigur Ros. Joining the Icelandic dramatists on their sole headline shows in August, they play Festival Hall in Melbourne on the 1st and the Horden Pavillion in their hometown of Sydney on the 2nd.

I say "terrifying" in the same way that it would be daunting to team up with anyone at the peak of their game. James Brown. Slayer. Daft Punk. No one leaves an Arcade Fire show talking about the nuances of the support set you know? Though Pivot's taut, insistently muscular rhythms might just be the perfect lubricant for the main acts grandiose build and release. That's why you want to be on 4AD kids.
