New Orleans "bounce" queen Big Freedia strode into town last week as a guest of the Melbourne Festival. Which—in the immortal words of her single 'Azz Everywhere'—is basically default for "a whole lot of people got their bums out and shook them around on stage at the Hi-Fi Bar in Melbourne last week."
Big Freedia was joined on the night by the "psychedelic-feminist-R&B-funk-rap" of Seattle-based duo Stasia Irons and Catherine Harris-White, aka THEE Satisfaction. Leah Robertson was on hand to shoot the thing.
