Sounds like the trapdoor behind the Gallagher brothers has opened up again.

NME are reporting (via The Sun) that Oasis drummer Zak Starkey (son of Ringo Starr) has left the band. After playing in the band as a session drummer, Zak was officially asked to join the band in 2006, though rarely appeared in promo pics. Now The Sun has quoted the ubiquitous "source close to the group" as saying: "There have been arguments with Noel Gallagher and general disagreements." Which could mean anything from Noel punching Zak in the larynx to Starkey eating one too many crisps.

The band have recently completed their seventh, as-yet-untitled album. The paper goes on to announce that it's "unlikely" Starkey will be seen with the band again. If true, Starkey joins Alan White, Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan, Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs and Tony McCarroll as ex-members of the group.
