I have mixed feelings about the new clip for Sydney dancefloor titans Bag Raiders.

First of all I was down with the whole Tron vibe. That one of them is reclining in his undies after having sex with half a dozen computer models is weird, but ok. Then the duo - Chris Stracey and Jack Glass - hook up at the same bar that that weirdly repulsive/attractive Heineken robot chick obviously came from, before going for a stroll on the neon boardwalk. (Watch for the vigorous hair stroke). Suddenly their electro world crumbles and they go tumbling into the void - only to land fortuitously on space cars that go whizzing through the stars. Until now, alright, whatever, but believable. But then dude PULLS A FLOAT ON THE CAR AND LOOKS DIRECTLY AT THE CAMERA! TALK ABOUT BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL!!

This thing is writing itself.

Perth's ' Sugar Army have a pretty slick new vid for the second single from their recent The Parallels Amongst Ourselves LP.

Directed by Dominic Pearce and Sugar Army drummer Jamie Sher, the thrust of it seems to be a shot at Chris Cunningham style pitch at Seven-esque gluttony. Cool in principle - and execution - but not quite sure what it has to do with the track. Feed a man enough pig and he'll throw up hands? Tell us something we don't know. Still,  the track 'Tongues in Cheeks' is a nifty, crackling number that manages to not make 'pop punk' a dirty word; a buzzing foot-tapper - despite the blatant rip of the melody from the Hall and Oates classic 'Maneater'.  Still, if it gives them a reason to wear those Interpol-inspired matching outfits on stage next time round then slick they shall have.

Speaking of slick, Interpol singer Paul Banks aka Julian Plenti has his first video effort from his new (AND THEVINE RADIO PLAYER FEATURED, RIGHT NOW, LOOK) awkwardly titled album Julian Plenti...is Skyscraper. 'Games For Days' features a good Paul Banks brushing memories Memento style with an evil Paul Banks and his co-hort Emily Haines (of Metric). Not sure what she's doing there but Banks sure does think she looks 'purty *drags on cigarette*. Something's about to happen between the evil duo involving handcuffs before good Paul Banks reenters the picture and scares them off. I think it's about world peace. Probably. Also, how Banks goes from looking like a mischievous cherub in one scene to a wizened, Mike D style scarecrow in another is a future point of discussion.

Yes we posted this vid in our review of their new album Rising Waters today but you probably didn't read it did you, because it looked too "tough", or something. Try again, cupcake.
