The
Q Awards (est. 1990) have taken place in London with Muse, Lily Allen, Kasabian and Arctic Monkeys all taking home a statuette for their efforts. White Lies improbably beat out Passion Pit and Dead Weather to take home "Best New Act".
Veterans were well rewarded too, with Led Zep's Robert Plant, Sonic Youth, Yusuf Islam and Frankie Goes to Hollywood all taking home a prize at the end of the night. Oasis, Blur, Take That and Coldplay were the big losers.
Amy Winehouse was there to present The Specials with the 'Q Inspiration' prize but the wayward singer was
reportedly "stuck in a lift" backstage and missed the big moment, obviously still getting used to her new boobs.
