Psychedelic Brooklyn duo MGMT have a new video. And this time it's one that doesn't involve surfing on giant waves of multi-coloured lava. Aw.

Unfortunately it's for new single 'Electric Feel', one of the weaker tracks on the otherwise excellent (and recommended) Oracular Spectacular. This new version sounds like it's been remixed too, in that "hey let's push forward the drums and vocals to the front of the mix so we lose all the subtlety, nuance and originality of the first version but damn if it won't get on radio" way. Good one.

The new video has the band prancing through a forest party scene straight from the end of Return of the Jedi. Throw in a singing bear, flying motorcycles and a moon bleeding rainbow pixels over everyone and it's really just another day at the office for the pair. I still prefer the original though. The band's psychedelic visions work better when they're a bit more tongue in cheek and well, shit. Which allows the bands all important humour to shine through. Still, it is pretty.
