The first taste of the forthcoming and much discussed collaboration between Lou Reed and Metallica is online. And it's er, alright. I guess. If you like the sound of Lou Reed talking over a Metallica riff. Which, as history might have it, millions of people perhaps do.



The track is 'The View' and comes from the pair's forthcoming album Lulu, which is due out October 31. Lulu is the highly-anticipated result of the union between the two titans of modern rock, that  — as we reported back in July — only happened after Lou Reed "basically" called Metallica "a bunch of cunts."
