A rap tour controversy? Impossible.
Organisers of the highly-anticipated
Lil Wayne tour, have today announced that, due to those ever-infernal "scheduling conflicts", the rapper will not be able to perform his solo tour. Which was due to start tomorrow. He IS still coming for the Eminem supports however, that kick-off just one day after his solo tour was due to wrap up.
Lil Wayne was due to perform solo shows at Burswood Dome, Perth, this Friday 25th November, the Entertainment Centre in Adelaide on Sunday 27th November, and at Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday 29th November in Melbourne. The Eminem tour begins on December 1 in Melbourne.
They say:
It is with regret that Dainty Group announces that the Australian solo shows for Lil Wayne, which were scheduled for Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, have now been postponed due to scheduling conflicts.
Lil Wayne will be unable to arrive in Australia as early as originally planned, therefore regrettably having to postpone his solo performances.
However, Lil Wayne will still be coming to Australia to perform at the Eminem stadium shows at Melbourne Etihad Stadium on 1 December and at Sydney Football Stadium on 2 & 4 December.
These three shows will now be the only chance Australian fans of Lil Wayne will get to see him perform until his next tour.
Wayne will return in 2012 for his own solo headline arena tour, where he will play Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth as originally planned, as well as several other markets. The tour dates for Wayne’s next visit to Australia are yet to be confirmed.
