Modest Mouse leader Isaac Brock is contributing music to his favourite cartoon, according to Pitchfork.

"The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack" is already airing on Cartoon Network so I'm guessing this is a limited engagement for Brock but it immediately begs the question, will anybody ever better the theme to Thundercats as composed by the host  of Inside the Actor's Studio, James Lipton?

Impossible, I know. Then what about these?

Roobarb & Custard

Pure genius, this simple theme tune captured the very sound of childlike anarchy. This is the sound of bonkers...

G-Force

How epic is this opening? Truly epic...

Jamie & His Magic Torch

A spooky and mysterious intro beckons you in before hitting you with an impassioned rock vocal. Amazing stuff...

Ma...Ma...Ma...Mask...

Futurecop! probably have this as their office ringtone...

Mysterious Cities of Gold...

One of the dullest shows ever had a strangely engaging theme song. Did this inspire Chris Martin? We may never know...
