Grimes releases “Visions” bonus discs
To cap off a stellar year for Canadian wunderkind Grimes (read our interview here), both Rough Trade and Resident have proclaimed her debut album, Visions, to be “album of the year”. To celebrate the announcements, her record label 4AD is releasing two bonus discs, one for each store.
Both discs feature rare and unreleased bonus material. The Rough Trade disc includes an original song, “Ambrosia”, remixes of “Genesis” and “Be A Body”, and two collaborative songs: one featuring Jay Worthy and another with Majical Cloudz. The Resident bonus disc contains remixes of “Oblivion” and “Be A Body”, and two original songs, “Angel” and “Life After Death”.
True Grimes aficionados can get their fix from Rough Trade here, and from Resident here. The lady herself will be in Australia from next week to play at Meredith Festival, with sideshows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
