TheVine wasn't overly impressed with The Big Pink's latest album Future This. Reviewer Doug Wallen summed up the UK duo's second album succinctly, saying "the electronics seem like an afterthought tacked onto so much soppy balladry and anthemic condescension." Ouch.

More interestingly of late, is that the band chose to perform a cover of Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used To Know' on a recent BBC 1 Live Lounge session. The band's take turns Wally De Backer's slinky-ode into more of a doomy, call-from-beyond type take on New Romantic-electro. It's not a great success — hitting those high notes didn't work out so well for one — but it does posit the idea that 'Somebody That I Used To Know' could easily be a thumping, electro-style crossover for the club set America. This isn't it, however.

Well at least they didn't fake it.
