Frank Ocean Gets An Outkast Injection
Big Boi recently released this remix of “Pink Matter”, which is the fifteenth song on Frank Ocean’s 2012 release, Channel Orange. Given the song features a rap by Big Boi’s fellow ex-Outkast member Andre 3000, the remix signifies the first time that both have contributed to the same track since “Royal Flush” in 2010.
Although Huffpost has been busy speculating that an Outkast reunion may be in the works, the evidence for this seems scant. Both Andre 3000 and Big Boi are currently heavily invested in other endeavours: while Big Boi released his latest album last month, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, Andre 3000 is scheduled to play Jimi Hendrix in the upcoming biopic on the music icon.
