Frank Ocean forgives Chris Brown
In what comes as a totally unsurprising outcome in the “who-can-be-the-bigger-person” stakes of the recent Chris Brown/Frank Ocean carpark spat, Frank Ocean has announced via his Tumblr page that he has forgiven Chris Brown.
On his Tumblr, Ocean created a post in which he expressed his revised take on the brawl, saying: “AS A CHILD I THOUGHT IF SOMEONE JUMPED ME IT WOULD RESULT IN ME MURDERING OR MUTILATING A MAN. BUT AS A MAN I AM NOT A KILLER. I’M AN ARTIST AND A MODERN PERSON. I’LL CHOOSE SANITY. NO CRIMINAL CHARGES. NO CIVIL LAWSUIT. FORGIVENESS, ALBEIT DIFFICULT, IS WISDOM. PEACE, ALBEIT TRITE, IS WHAT I WANT IN MY SHORT LIFE. PEACE.”
This notice forms the third statement made by Ocean on the matter, who took to his Twitter account immediately after the event to tweet about what had happened. Previous reports alleged that Ocean would press charges, which will now obviously not be happening.
Both musicians are scheduled to appear at the Grammys on February 10, where they are both nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
