Back from the dead pop-metal dudes Faith No More have announced sideshows to their much anticipated Soundwave festival appearance this summer.

We learned back in June that the '90s icons had buried the hatchet and decided to reform. A couple of months later the organisers of Soundwave announced that they'd secured the band for their annual black t-shirt fest, along with Janes Addiction and My Chemical Romance, the news of which sent more than a few tragics spare. Now the (unsigned, self-managed) band have announced festival sideshows.

Predictably, they're happening in Sydney and Melbourne only. The Sydney show will go down on Monday 22nd of February, the day after the Sydney Soundwave, and in Melbourne on Thursday 25th February, the day before the Melbourne event. (Which again falls on the Friday. Does that not seem crazy to anyone? A metal festival on a school day? Anyway.)
