Would you place your career aspirations, your hopes and dreams, in the hands of Amy Winehouse?

That's the million dollar question raised by the News of the World's report that "the troubled singer" has spent £1 million setting up Lioness Records, and "has already made her first signing — her uber-talented 12-year-old goddaughter Dionne Bromfield."

The British rag claims that Amy has recruited the unlikely trio of Lady Gaga, Lemar and X Factor finalist Eoghan Quigg to duet with Dionne, and "has even collaborated on a handful of songs herself."

According to "a source", the album is due in March and is co-produced and co-written by Amy, and has a "kind of funky Motown soul sound."

Dionne told the paper, “I had a lot of record companies wanting to sign me but I didn’t know where to go. So for Amy to set up this record company and make me her first signing means so much.”

And the perks ain't bad either. Dionne's reportedly been flown to LA for a month of singing lessons, and more recently been flown out to St. Lucia to make album plans with Amy.

Then the money-shot...

"She needs someone responsible around her to promote her career.” A source close to Amy added: “This is a very exciting business venture for Amy. It marks a new phase in her career, just like when Madonna set up Maverick Records."

Or the new Death Row...

"The troubled singer — pictured last week in St Lucia begging for booze on all fours on the Caribbean island of St Lucia — told a close friend: “I’m cleaning up my act for Dionne.""

Fingers crossed... for Dionne's sake!

Here's a taste of how the poor girl was before all that Lioness unpleasantness what Dionne can do, filmed by that ever responsible child-minder Pete Doherty...
