When we're sifting through photos of gigs to figure out which ones to cull and which ones to include, it's generally a fairly easy task. A series of musicians looking grim/excited/sweaty/confused/elated in differing succession, usually makes things fairly standard. Not so with the Flaming Lips.
You wish the camera had a bigger lense, that you could see what was going on everywhere all at once. When a band are birthed onto the stage via a psychedelic onscreen vagina, before a giant gorilla, dancing frogs, snow maidens, confetti cannons, giant balloons, orange construction workers, spaceship worthy lights and a bubble walk across thousands of outstretched hands, you kind've need to see it all. Be immersed.
