Perth band Birds Of Tokyo go orchestral at the grand Adelaide Town Hall, with Augie March frontman Glenn Richards in tow.
It seemed like a weird pairing. Not so much that one of Australia's most popular hard rock bands were embarking on an "acoustic with strings" tour, but that they were taking along as guest the esteemed frontman for Augie March, Glenn Richards. Who, in the wake of his band's "last for a long, long time" tour a few months back, (
read the review) could probably have seized the moment to make a fine bash of doing his own tour around the country.
Whatever your persuasion, Glenn Richards and Birds of Tokyo's Ian Kenny are undeniably two frontmen with some of the best pipes in the business. So it only makes complete sense to take photos of them in front of a bunch of massive pipes. At the Adelaide Town Hall on the Bird of Tokyo's Broken Strings tour, photographer Andrew Stace soaked it in.
