Organisers of the V Festival have announced a second lineup. And it's...still kind've boring.

Joining the likes of The Killers, Snow Patrol and Kaiser Chiefs will be:

Madness (pictured)
The Human League (playing Dare)
Razorlight
The Kills
M83
Jenny Lewis
Howling Bells
Jackson Jackson
Wolf and Cub
Children Collide

Hmm. I can't help but think this reads like an NME 'Hot List' from 2003. And the interchangeable Razorlight, Snow Patrol and Elbow on the same bill? Jenny Lewis and Howling Bells? Really? All that's missing are The Editors, The Kooks, Keane and Evermore to really glue down the snooze button. Still, any excuse to get M83 to our shores is a good thing, while Madness and The Human League should appease the nostalgia set. Still, no "party" bands like last year's showstoppers The Presets, Cut Copy or CSS yet. Hopefully there's a few other fringe acts to come that make this thing make sense.
