More acts have been added to the still mysterious event happening under the auspices of the Soundwave team.

Ever since a series of "Soundwave Revolution is coming" posters were seen around the grounds of the recent Soundwave festival (see image below), speculation has mounted as to who or what they could be referencing. Like with the main event just gone, Soundwave's incredibly active twitter feed @soundwavefest has been offering up clues and retweets to flesh out what most now suppose, will be a smaller, side event to the main Soundwave tour. While Soundwave's huge success at mobilising a hardcore fanbase of metal and heavy music lovers, clearly suggests more than one hard rock festival could work on an already crowded calendar, industry pundits are inclined to believe that the move is Soundwave's attempt to kill off the fledgling rival, No Sleep Til... festival, which hosted Megadeth in early December last year.

So far, the list of bands who have announced themselves as performing at the "revolution", are:

We Are The Ocean
Young Guns
The Swellers
Madina Lake
Terrible Things
Four Year Strong
Story of the Year
This Providence
Make Do And Mend
Whitechapel
The Acacia Strain
Every Time I Die (pictured)

UPDATE #1 31.03.11: Welsh "reggae metal" band Skindred have just been added to the line-up.
UPDATE #2 31.03.11: Yeah, so the #SW revolution twitter tag is working overtime today. Now confirming Hellyeah and In This Moment.
UPDATE #331.03.11: Featuring members of Fall Out Boy, Anthrax and Every Time I Die, supergroup The Damned Things have confirmed their presence at Soundwave Revolution.

Skindred - 'Stand for Something'

Hellyeah - 'Cowboy Way'

The Damned Things - 'We've Got A Situation Here'

It's widely believed that the event will take place in September, after organisers tweeted "11029042 Viva La Revolution!". Backwards, 11029042  reads 24th September 2011, a Saturday.

More to come.
