One hundred and eighty bands descended on a field in Denmark last weekend for the hottest
Roskilde Festival in thirty three years.
Featuring Oasis, Coldplay, Nine Inch Nails, Slipknot, Kanye West, Lily Allen a reunited Faith No More and others, the festival is one of Europe's biggest, with capacity about 80,000 people.
With the mercury climbing into the low thirties, the event was one of the hottest on record. Which, after experiencing a string of nights with temperature hovering around 4 degrees, sounds like some sort've hallucinatory festival at the top of the magic faraway tree. If there was any question about it, the event also features its own "train station, radio station, newspaper, skate park, cinema, artificial lake, bakery, Ferris Wheel, mobile antennas and onsite supermarket".
