Organisers of the annual Meredith Music Festival have plugged in the powerboard for the first time this year to bring us details of the looming event that will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year.

Here's what you need to know in a nutshell:

- The event will happen in its traditional slot over the second weekend of December. The 10, 11 & 12 of December 2010 at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre on the Nolan Farm in regional Victoria. I guess I miss my brothers birthday again. Sorry dude.
- Announced acts will start trickling through the channels shortly. In tune with the 20th Anniversary Celebrations, organisers are calling it early: all killer, no filler, all quality, no follity; bespoke programming based on Supreme Live Experience, where collective (anticipated) mood and time of day or night is carefully considered. I'm inclined to believe them.
- The Subscriber Ticket Ballot is open from 9am August 3. Old subscribers should check  their email. New and yet-to-be-subs head to www.mmf.com.au to get with the program.

There is also a "comprehensive and joy-filled Online Exhibition covering the Twenty Weird and Wonderful Years" of the festival. Which is sure to include the odd snap of muddy genitalia should you care to peruse, office monkeys.

Highlights include:

•   Bite-sized episodes of Rob McCafferty’s award-winning doco A Weekend In The Country (with thanks to Madman)
•  A roller-coaster 650-photo pictorial history of Meredith called Aunty’s Slide Night
•  A vast photo  library of Meredith-goers from throughout the years called, self-explanatorily, Find Yourself
•   A seven-years-in-the-making compendium of the funniest /rawest/strangest Tell Us Something We Don’t Knows
•  Historical Highlights from Stage, Supernatural Amphitheatre and Campgrounds
•   A History and Thousand-Photo Gallery covering each and every year, including never-seen-before  (in fact some never-developed- before) amazing photos from the 90s and 00s. It’s a trip no Meredith Purist or Tourist should miss.
