Homebake Festival 2009 lineup revealed

Organisers of the fifteenth annual Homebake Festival in Sydney have announced this years heritage heavy lineup.

Powderfinger top the bill, their first live appearance since their part in 2007's Across the Great Divide tour with Silverchair, Hilltop Hoods bring their recent No. 1 album State of the Art to life and a reanimated Jet will be toting their newie Shaka Rock.

Continuing the older statesmen vibe, Tim Finn will play a "best of" set, ex-Bad Seed Rowland S Howard will be joined by co-ex Bad Seed Mick Harvey, and '90s stoner-pop stars Tumbleweed will reunite, not to mention the original art-rock indie statesmen Underground Lovers. The Middle East look good to convert a whole slew of new fans, the ever-reliable Eddy Current Suppression Ring should completely own whatever section of the park they're playing in for 45 minutes and Decoder Ring always work best with a big crowd (and light show) behind them. Plus, any chance the great new record from Sarah Blasko (her best!) gets an airing we will support wholeheartedly, not to mention a look at Perth kids Sugar Army.

Hmm. All in all, an intriguing mix of bands. Though not quite sure who looks good to provide the OMFG moment this time around:
