So the Empire of the Sun/La Roux powered Parklife festival is pretty much sold out. Look:

PARKLIFE

Saturday 26th September: Botanic Gardens and Riverstage, BRISBANE - SOLD OUT
Sunday 27th September 2009 (Long Weekend): Wellington Square, PERTH - LIMITED TICKETS
Saturday 3rd October 2009: Birrarung Marr, MELBOURNE - SOLD OUT
Sunday 4th October 2009 (Long Weekend): Kippax Lake, Moore Park, SYDNEY - SOLD OUT
Monday 5th October 2009 (Long Weekend): Botanic Park, ADELAIDE - LIMITED TICKETS

So chances are you'll want to pay attention to the below. I have it on good authority that Luke Steele will be attending each and every official after party; glad-handing, holding up the bar and generally signing peoples foreheads at will. I hear he also wears box fresh kicks and tracksuit pants outside of business hours. Imagine! None of that "fish over the eye" garb anymore. A-Trak would be proud.

Perth often trumpets the fact that it's the most isolated city on earth, so it only makes sense that the second lineup addition to their Southbound festival comes nearly a full day after the same acts were announced for the event's sister festivals in Falls and Sunset Sounds. No alarms and no surprises but an influx of local product. These acts join the likes of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Grizzly Bear, Future of the Left, Moby and a whole swag more.
