The recent spate of Parklife festivities (see our reviews and pics from Melbourne and Brisbane) managed to raise just under $43,000 for Heaps Decent, the charity Fuzzy supports.

Industry guests were invited to donate $20 upon entry to Parklife to raise funds for Heaps Decent: an initiative committed to finding and nurturing the creativity of underprivileged and Indigenous young people and emerging artists. Sydney was the top earner, raising nearly $15,000. Parklife artists got involved in all the feel-good stuff too, with Sinden, Brodinski, DJ Mehdi, Jesse Rose and AC Slater participating in workshops with Heaps Decent outside of the festival.

Here's a clip of Jesse Rose and AC Slater in the studio with RJ from Stunna Set.

Excellent Swede Robyn has had to pull out of the Stereosonic Festival due to an "unforseen commitment clash". In a statement she says:

"It is with deep regret that I have to cancel my appearance at the wonderful Steresonic festival in Australia this year. Unfortunately I had to make the decision to pull out due to an unforseen commitment clash. I'm really sad to let my fans down, but I am determined to rectify my non appearance with rescheduled dates in 2011 that I am currently working on, more details soon." - Robyn

Crap news. Robyn is great. For anyone with a ticket to her Melbourne sideshow at the Prince of Wales Bandroom, contact them for refund information: www.princebandroom.com.au / 03 9536 1168.

Meanwhile, Stereosonic with forge on with the loss with the likes of TIËSTO, Calvin Harris, Carl Cox, Major Lazer, Sebastian Ingrosso, Benny Benassi and Wiley, kicking off in Sydney on the 27th of this month.
