Ken West has alluded to the events of the the past week in a short missive at the front of today's Big Day Out timetable announcement.

Following on from an interview with the New Zealand Herald in which the promoter revealed the acts that the Big Day Out courted but weren't booked, as well as claiming that the festival was "a victim of Facebook abuse," West says today that "the confusion has calmed."

Hi everyone,

The full picture of what’s in store is now reaching completion. Of course there is always more to discover on the day. The Big Day Out was and always will be about creating the best experience possible. Now that all the confusion has calmed we all hope you feel as excited about these shows as we do. Great music, great atmosphere and much fun to be had by all. Thank you all for your support, it’s much appreciated. Just to set the record straight - there will be no special deals, discounts, “2 for 1’s” or ballots. When it sells out. That’s that.

Ken West

The timetable reveals that controversy-magnet Kanye West will close out the main stages, following Soundgarden. Noel Gallagher will close out the Green Stage (tipped to be the big "singalong" winner at the 2012 event) and Nero will close the Boiler Room.

Along with the timetables (now up at bigdayout.com), organisers (the organiser?) have also announced a pretty cool companion piece. You can now make your own timetable schedule and share it with your friends on Facebook and twitter. For example, here's what a Soundgarden fan's might look like:

11:00am: doors.

7:15-8:30: Soundgarden
