I've been reluctant to post Modest Mouse's new clip. They're one of my favourite bands and, well - both this song and clip kinda suck.

'Satellite Skin' is the lead track for Modest Mouse's upcoming EP No One's First And You're Next, and if it's a good representation of the disc, it doesn't bode well. Isaac Brock and co sound like they're going through the motions on this one, recycling a riff they found on This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About and perfected on The Lonesome Crowded West, back in the late '90s. Boo. At least with a clip directed by Tool collaborator Kevin Willis you'd think the clip might hold up but no dice. It's a directionless mess.

Paul Dempsey on the other hand matches the simplicity of the first cut 'Out The Airlock' from his forthcoming solo record with a vid that does the same. Dempsey appears - Godzilla like - in a model train landscape before walking through the miniature landscape at an appropriate size.

And though we mentioned it already, not this explicitly. Sarah Blasko has a clip for her new single 'All I Want', shot in country Victoria. She leads a horse through a grey landscape, confronts some shadowy dudes with a thumb glove, and resolves the conflict by smelling some smoke. Noted.
