While Andrew Stockdale's Wolfmother Mk.II work on their new record in Los Angeles, the band have released the first fruits of labour from the new lineup. 'Back Round' has been played at the band's few gigs over the last few weeks, (Sound Relief, White Feather, Clipsal 500) as well as this performance at the MTV Awards.

While the new band bugs don't quite seem to be out of the system - the keyboard falling to the ground at Melbourne Sound Relief wasn't so classy - the recorded version does sound suitably Wolfmother-esque. Octave solos, wah wah on the bass and lyrics along the lines of "Aeeeeeooooowwwwaaarrghhyyyyeyeeaaah'. Snap.
