The new
Spoon record is their best yet. We'll stand by it. (Actually,
we did).
Transference is the pay off we've been waiting for, and you should go out and buy it immediately. Just saying. The
precise indie-soul quartet from Austin, Texas were last seen here sharing a stage with the Arcade Fire, labelmates and touring buddies from the 2008 Big Day Out. Now they return for a run of their own shows.

Frankston's
Eddy Current Suppression Ring have a new album called
Rush to Relax. It was made in the time it takes you to decide what to wear for the night. They recorded it themselves over six hours in a rehearsal room on borrowed tape. And the room was double-booked, so the fee was waived.
Six hours. Now they're doing their biggest national tour ever. Which will probably sell out. Kind've makes your band look pretty silly doesn't it?
