We switch things up this week on our Radio Player feature album with the debut record from Major Lazer aka the collab between DJ heavyweights Switch and Diplo.

We spoke to the dynamic duo last week about how they decided to work together (over "rum" and after working on M.I.A's Arular), the slew of guest artists on the record (Santigold, Susy Signal, Amanda Blank, Ms.Thing, and how Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do was inspired "by hanging out in the Kingston clubs". Switch extrapolated:

That whole culture is pretty amazing. I personally think it’s one of the best places in the world to go clubbing. Basically, everyone is so up on the music and passionate about it. Put it this way - DJs there actually have to play bad records at the end of the night to make people go home. That and they have all the latest dances to whatever the new cool rhythms are.

The DJ also let on that the duo are coming to Australia for NYE.

I think we’ve just confirmed that we’ll be out there for New Year’s Eve with MC Klash and our super-dancer-girls.

In preparation we present the new album Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do in full as TheVine's Radio Player Feature Album NOW. (Go, look down there on the right - click - listen - do it).
