The Lost Weekend festival is a new festival coming to the outskirts of Brisbane City. Or more specifically, the rather dry sounding Ivory's Rock Conference Centre. *metal*

At a glance it reads as more architecturally staid "Golden Plains up north". Running from Friday 5th March until Sunday 7th March, organisers are offering a two or three day camping pass to the festival grounds, which boast of being amongst natural forest, parklands and watering holes, as well as hosting a natural amphitheatre. Sounds familiar? No mention of BYO booze though, which, let's face it, is intrinsic to the Southern experience.
