Streets and Muse de-collaborate
Few weeks back, the internet sprang a leak and a collaboration between Mike Skinner and Muse dribbled out.

The track created a bit of interest - was this to be the reunion of hard rock and rap, those incestuous cousins who've been kept apart since Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit and Rage Against the Machine faded from consciousness? It seemed so. It may also have sounded uncannily like a high school, loungeroom jam by that geezer who likes hip-hop and those other mates in a band.

Never mind. Skinner's not impressed by the track.

"We did the track and it felt really genuine, but a bit of a laugh as well," he tells the Daily Star in the UK.

"Then the label started getting too excited by it, so I fucked it off. I didn't really think it was that good, anyway."

As a particularly acidic remark on NME.com puts it, "if only he applied the same rigorous standards to his own shit material."

Blam!
