We went to Splendour in the Grass for the first time in 2008. No lie - it was amazing.
In between watching Wolfmother V.1's last ever show, The Presets nearly cause a riot and legends Devo in the flesh, we had an unnamed member of Sigur Ros slap our photographer on the arse, accommodation with one of the most influential psychedelic musicians of all time, and our regular cab driver tell us how he hit a drunk pedestrian and cracked his windscreen the night prior, only to be called a few hours later to pick someone up from the hospital to take him home. YES THE SAME GUY. As anyone will tell you, Byron has a weird energy man.

So it's on again, this time a little earlier than last years. It will also be on again at Belongil Fields, the (locally) contentious site of the festival for the past eight years. The event will be held on Sat July 25th and Sun July 26th.
As
previously and wildly speculated, we believe that the festival will be headlined by FlamingLipsWeezerYeahYeahYeahsSonicYouthBenHarperAnimalCollective. Or thereabouts.
