Perth band abroad
Snowman have had their US VISA's delayed, effectively cancelling their upcoming American tour.
Currently based in the UK, Snowman have a couple of shows lined up in New York next week as part of the CMJ Music Conference. Except they're not going to be able to play them, thanks to a band member's one time geographical visit.
Co-frontman Andy Citawarman posted as his Facebook profile today:
"Snowman not going to New York anymore since I can't get my visa sorted out...oh well..." An explanation followed:
Yeah to cut long story short...we went to do the interview in the embassy today as a group for the performing type of visa. The other 3 had their visas approved but since I visited Saudi Arabia before it'll take 60 more days for my visa to be approved. Such is life...Insane. No word on whether this means the band will simply wait their sixty days and try again. But it does mean they'll miss their slot at the high-profile CMJ festival. Hopefully in future no one mentions the title of their latest video clip (below) in the vicinity of customs as they're more likely to be pistol-whipped than playing a gig. As you can see in our
photo review, you gotta watch out for those beardy types. Always hidin sumthin.
