The Pyramid Rock Festival has announced the second round of acts to be added to the 2009 lineup.

Most surprising entry on the list is the once gig-allergic, Atlanta, Georgia born Cat Power - aka Chan Marshall - returning to our fair shores. She brings with her the Dirty Delta Blues Band,  featuring drummer Jim White (Dirty Three), guitarist Judah Bauer (Blues Explosion), keyboardist Greg Foreman (Delta 72) and Eric Papparazi on bass. This is the same band that Marshall brought out to Australia in March 2008 to peddle her kinda underwhelming Jukebox LP; a tour that we saw but was left unimpressed with Marshall's transformation from unpredictable but magnetic solo performer to whimsical band leader. Still, she wrote 'Good Woman'. Damn.

Joining her on the lineup is a raft of grunge festival vets, indie newcomers, a serious swathe of dance friendly imports and the ever lovely Clare Bowditch.
